Formed in 2007, Warlord games is a miniatures company based in Nottingham, England which makes science fiction and fantasy games but whose predominant focus is on historical games. They are known for games such as: Bolt Action, Pike & Shotte, Black Powder, Black Seas, SPQR and Hail Caesar, all taking place in separate times. Their primary science fiction game was Beyond the Gates of Antares [1], designed by Rick Priestley of GW fame.

Warlord also purchases a number of games that haven't been supported from publishers, like ww2 naval game Victory at Sea, they revamp the rules a bit and release a new starter set, but usually, the game fades and gets less and less support.

They also make a wide variety of high quality terrain, representing a wide span of time periods and tech levels, from medieval castles to high tech shield barriers. Their models aren't quite as detailed as GW or Wargames Atlantic, but are better value per model, and they frequently supports or partners with 3rd-party model companies like Italeri and Trenchworx for more high quality and detailed models.
