I'm making this page primarily to keep track of a few homebrew codex's I'm making, and I'm starting by testing out a new format based primarily on Forge World's style of their own books and writing up a full list of the Witch Hunter's Adversaries (so you don't have to switch between several different codex's to use them properly). They seemed like a prime candidate given how annoying they are to play normally and because GW released the Witch Hunters rules for free on their website a while ago. Please let me know what you think in the discussion page, I'm planning to collect all free rules for Adversaries (as in general upgrades that can be applied to any army) as I think they can really help out with upgrading certain armies or providing different themes for others (like a Tau mutant that develops psychic powers or an Ork Warboss possessed by a Greater Daemon).

First Book (WIP, but only as far as style goes, all the rules are in there)
Second book (WIP, but only as filler goes, I think I have the style how I like it now and all of the rules are in there, I just need more images/quotes)

For anybody wondering how this was done, it's rather simple. First look up any old paper effect that you can make in photoshop, this will be the background. For the faint letters I used a larger font size and Lorem Ipsum to generate garbage text for both the background and the border (in between two red strokes) and made them an overlay. The symbols for the various FOC are drawn from reference, using only one colour then beveling/embossing/texturing them until they looked distinct but at the same time could easily be recognized. For the ribbon I did the same thing as the old paper, I just cut it out and made the effect a little smaller, as well as tinting it red.

Well my second book is up now, this one is on the Genestealer Cults semi-official rules created by Tim Huckleberry. I say semi-official because while his making the rules was endorsed by Games Workshop, they never appeared in any official codex or White Dwarf, eventually he uploaded them to his website and that's where I got them from. As before, any feedback on the style is welcome. -- Triacom (talk) 19:42, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

For the record all of the books I'm making are meant to be read with pages side-by-side (as if they're a book rather than a .pdf) so for optimal reading I'd recommend downloading the file then reading it with two pages onscreen rather than one (though this also means I've got to delete the cover of the apostate book, which is why it's still a WIP). -- Triacom (talk) 19:45, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

Third book, the Kroot Mercenaries (WIP, but only as far as filling in some blank space goes, all the rules are in there).

All right, book three is now up, it is a full codex of the Kroot Mercenaries and I think I've got the style down now as far as design goes. quite literally the only reason this is a WIP is because I want to fill in the blank space that's left on a lot of the unit entry pages. Anyone who wants to contribute images is welcome to (or contribute lore for the various entries or the intro), and I can add them in to have less overall blank space, but for now I'll be working on the next book. As before any feedback or criticism is welcome, as are any spelling corrections or filler that can be given. -- Triacom (talk) 03:59, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
