Some handy tables for making your own Bolter Bitches.

Make sure to roll up on the Planet generator and System generator tables for further fluffing.

Order Originator[edit]

All Minor Orders originate from one of the six Major Orders. Which is your Order derived from?

Original Order roll d10
Order of Our Martyred Lady (Formerly Order of the Fiery Heart) 1-2
Order of the Valorous Heart 3-4
Order of the Ebon Chalice 5-6
Order of the Argent Shroud 7-8
Order of the Bloody Rose 9
Order of the Sacred Rose 10

Order's Founding[edit]

No Order is created without reason, what was yours?

Why Was The Order Founded? (d10)
1–4 Schism - unconsolitable differences in the interpretation of the imperial creed (such as the amount of ave imperators recited during a sermon honouring a specific minor saint) let your order to split from their originator
5–6 Guardianship - your order was created to watch over a specific holy site or relic
7–8 Devotion - a group of sisters devoting themselves to an emerging saint split off from their progenitor and were allowed to form a new order
9–10 Crusade - a long crusade led the progenitors of your order away from their originator until they were declared a new order

When Was The Order Founded? (d10)
1-2 M36: During the Age of Apostasy, the progenitor unit of the Order became distinct within the Daughters of the Emperor and was formed from its Order Majoris progenitor some time after the Thorian reformation but just before the Age of Apostasy ended, among the first Orders Minoris.
3 M37: The Order was founded during the Age of Redemption, after the first Orders Minoris.
4 M38: The Order was founded during the Crusades of the Fringe, still within the Age of Redemption.
5 M39: The Order was founded during the beginning of the The Waning from the wave of veterans after the Crusades of the Fringe ended.
6 M40: The Order was founded during The Waning.
7 M41: The Order was founded during the last century of The Waning or the Time of Ending.
8 999.M41/000.M42: The Order was founded during the beginning of the Indomitus Crusade, possibly due to the Great Rift isolating one or more convents and causing de facto independence.
9 000.M42-Present: The Order was founded during the Age of the Dark Imperium, between the beginning of the Indomitus Crusade or just after the end of the first phase after the Battle of Raukos in 012.M42.
10 Unknown Founding, though it is likely within the Age of Redemption or the The Waning.

Order's Flaw[edit]

None save the Emperor are perfect, Where is your Order found wanting?

If one exists, what is the Order's Flaw? (d10)
1–2 We Stand Alone - The Order is either distrusted for some reason or otherwise cloaks itself from prying eyes.
3–4 Pride in the Colours - The Order refuses to submit to any authority outside of the High Lords of Terra or the Inquisition. Note that a formal Imperial Crusade's Warmaster is expected to be obeyed as holding authority in the name of the High Lords.
5–6 Faith in Suspicion - The Order particularly hates a single Imperial institution, and refuses to work with them.
7–8 An Eye for an Eye - The Order refuses to use the tactics of cowards and will sacrifice every soldier before retreating.
9-10 Bad Ecclesiarch Relations - Although not necessarily having bad relations, The Order has deviated from the Imperial Cult in a significant way that would be noticeable to the Orthodox Imperial Cult. Extremes of such deviance may even involve human sacrifice conducted by the Sisters, or even more unsavory elements that may be outright proscribed outside of necessity like cannibalism. Such matters are best kept hidden.

Order Demeanour[edit]

Each Order has its "quirks"

Order Demeanour (d10)
1 Swift As The Wind - Crush the Heretic before they realize we are here!
2 Cleanse and Purify - Burn it all, Let the Emperor decide the just!
3 No Mercy, No Respite - Given chase and crush them!
4 Purity Above All - Your plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time!
5 Relic Keepers - The remnants of the saints of old must be preserved.
6 See, But Don't Be Seen - Stay sensible, stay alive.
7 Suffer Not the Alien to Live - The Xenos shall fall this day!
8 Suffer Not the Work of Heretics - The Heretics shall fall this day!
9 Sisters in Battle - Your sisters are your life and your hoes!
10 Uphold the Honour of the Emperor - Let His light guide you!

Primary Saint[edit]

Each Order has a Saint to whom the sisters look to for guidance

Figure of Legend (d100)
01-20 The Founder is the figure of legend. Roll again on this table to determine what type of warrior she was, reroll if you get this result again.
21-50 Canoness Superior
51-60 (Formerly) Living Saint
61-70 Seraphim Commander
71-80 Celestian Commander
81-90 Sister Superior
91-99 Battle Sister
100 A specialist of your choice.
Deeds of Legend (d20)
1-5 The figure is remembered as the bane of the Orks, Purging the foul xenos wherever possible
6-10 The individual was a stalwart enemy of the servants of Chaos, and slew a Daemon Prince.
11-14 The saint led a glorious campaign against a rebel army, defeating the foe and bringing an entire sector back into the light of the Emperor.
15-17 The figure led an action against an Eldar craftworld, boarding it and inflicting grievous casualties before withdrawing. This has earned the order the fear and hatred of that craftworld
18 Lives still and may one day return to them in glory.
19 The Saint was the first to face some newly discovered alien race, and ultimately responsible for its total destruction. Centuries later, only the Order remembers the name of the race, so utterly was it slain and its works cast down.
20 The saint led the Order in many glorious campaigns, slaying hundreds of the enemy’s greatest champions. In the end, they were brought down by treachery within the fold of the Imperium, slain by an assassin’s turbo-penetrator round on the field of battle. Just why they were targeted was never discovered, and the Order harbours doubts of the loyalty of the servants of the Officio Assassinorum to this day.

Order's Homeworld[edit]

What is the formal designation of your Order's homeworld?

Order homeworld (d100)
01-21 Hive World: The noble houses of the Spires are always eager to buy the Emperors approval with gifts to the Order and the more pious inhabitants of the underhive can make for exeptional Warriors should they be willing to leave their gangs behind in favour of the Emperor, not to mention the Schola Progenium can have live fire exercises in the underhive.
22-46 Civilised World (A.K.A. Cathedral Worlds): Foolish is he who thinks the civilised worlder a soft target, those who have seen good will give back with all the more zeal.
47-71 Shrine World: The Adeptus Ministorum's most sacred worlds produce the most convicted of Sisterhoods, and that is no small feat.
72-83 Feudal World: Humble followers of Him on Terra, these women of the cloth live simple lives but can be stubborn and fanatical should The Emperor will them to war.
84-95 Feral World: These women have always had nothing but their wits and faith in the Emperor, Teach them how to operate a Flamer and watch their holy fury be unleashed.
96-99 Death World: What Feral Worlders and Underhivers would call the stuff of mind breaking nightmares, these women consider lunch.
100 Fleet-based(Imagine hosting these evangelicals!): The Crusade never ends, wise is she who accepts that.

What sort of terrain is your Homeworld made of? (don't roll if Fleet-based)

Homeworld terrain (d20)
1-5 Jungle. Masters of stealth and inured to disease.
6-10 Desert. Their Faith in the Emperor can weather the most blasted of heats
11-12 Ice/Arctic. The fire of faith is all they need to stay warm, that and Promethium
13-14 Oceanic. They grew up in the dangers of the depths. The Galaxy holds little horror for them now
15-16 Wasteland. Forged in a Blasted Waste, these women are at home in the most dire of battlefields.
17 Urban. Good soldiers, once you get the citygirl out of the city.
18 Airless/Barren. They know the void, and the tech required to survive it.
19-20 Temperate. Their world is pleasant by the Grace of Him on Terra, and this grants them faith and fury.

Hive worlds can still roll on the predominant terrain table to determine the environment outside the Hives (that is, if it is anything other than toxic wasteland) and before colonization. Mix up the result for flavor, such as hive cities in the depths of oceans, in mountain ranges, in deserts, in jungles etc.. If Urban is rolled, it could be a city planet with extreme population even by Hive World standards, or the leagues of multi-story Buildings between Hives act as the Planets version of suburbia though in both cases this also means the toxic mire has nowhere to go but down. Have fun if you recruit from underhivers! (copy paste from IG tables)

How much influence do you have in the world's affairs? (don't roll if Fleet-based)

Influence over homeworld (d10)
1-3 No influence - You refuse to involve yourself in politics at all. Your call is battle and battle alone
4-7 Noticeable influence - You dabble in the games of power somewhat, just enough to keep the interests of your order protected.
8-9 Major influence - You are one of the biggest players on the world where your monastery is stationed.

Everyone has to take you into account when they take any sort of action and your influence spreads even to other neighbouring worlds and systems.

10 Undisputable - Your power is spread far and wide. The nominal governour of your home planet is firmly in your hands, and your reach can be felt far away from your home world.

How is your Order organized?

Order organisation (d10)
1-5 Standard
6-8 Slight Variation
9 Radically Different
10 Unique Organization

Order's Strategy[edit]

How does your order engage the enemy?

1 Close Combat/ Fireteams
2 Ranged Combat
3 Armoured Assault
4 Stealth
5 Lightning Strike
6 Orbital Insertion
7 Close Air Support
8 Siege
9 Shock and Awe
10 Terror

Order Divergence[edit]

If you are divergent, how does your Order diverge? Roll once if you rolled "Slight variation" on "Order organisation" table, twice if you rolled "Radically different", three times if you rolled "Unique organisation".

Special equipment (d10)
1 Preferred Weapon: The Order favours one weapon of the holy trinity over all others. Choose Bolter, Flamer or Melta to serve as the Order’s weapon of choice.
2 Personal Charm: This Order has strong beliefs in the icons of either the Emperor or their Saint. A Battle-Sister from this Order would never be caught without such an icon on their person. Example: Order Sigils on a necklace, Fleur-de-lys tattooed under the right eye.
3 Modified Jump-Pack: The Seraphim Sisters of this Order often, with the help of the Adeptus Mechanicus, modify their jump packs. Examples: Jump-Packs created in different shapes such as angel wings or eagle's wings.
4 Helmets: Weirdly the Sisters of this Order almost never go to war without wearing a Helmet with their armour and may even be barred from doing so. Very strange.
5 Rare Imperial Weaponry: Whether through the blessing of the Adeptus Mechanicus or sheer good fortune, this Order has a large stock of weaponry that is considered rare amongst the other Orders. It is seen as a symbol of honour to wield one of these weapons in battle. Examples: Heavy Assault Cannons, Digital Weapons, Plasma Pistols.
6 Large Supply of Blessed Objects: This Order has been blessed by a bounty of Sacred Objects, the presence of which inspires the members of said Order to further heights.
7 Special Mount: While other Orders may keep animals as companions, this Order uses them for what they were intended for—transportation. Examples: Fenrisian Wolf, Carnodon, very angry Grox.
8 Modified Vehicle: This Order has had to adapt their transports to new and different circumstances. This Order may use more rare vehicles as primary transport. Examples: Modified Rhino, Immolator, or Repressor
9 Preferred Fighting Style: The Order has a peculiar way in which it prefers to go about killing the enemy in the name of the God-Emperor of Mankind. Examples: Bolt Pistol and Chainsword, dual Power Swords, special Bolter pattern or ammunition
10 Modified Weaponry: When the Order’s forges produce a weapon, they produce them in a style that is specific to their Order. Examples: Power Sabre, Bolt Pistol with a weighted butt for clubbing.
