The Ordo Astartes is a lesser-known Ordo of the Inquisition, despite the fact that their entire purpose is to act as the watchdogs for the normally independent Space Marines Chapter. One would think that this would have at least several hundred members running around making sure that none of the roughly one thousand chapters aren't up to any fuckery, but they're so tiny that at one point in M41 they only numbered only fifty Inquisitors. Perhaps they have some really stringent requirements for entry to avoid allowing anyone with a burning grudge against Space Marines a la Inquisitor Thrax.
The only action they're confirmed to have taken part in is the dissolution of the Wolf Brothers chapter. In that case, the chapter was deemed too mutated to be worthy of operation so they were given the choice between execution and death in glorious battle. Somehow, plenty of them just fled entirely, leading to accusations that their Primarch Leman Russ was overstepping Inquisitorial authority by helping them escape.
