Inspired by the Space Marine Chapter Creation Tables, this is a Warhammer 40k Noble House creator, for your TTRPG needs. Enjoy creating your own Imperial house to play as, oppose, or do whatever with! (Currently a WIP)

02-04 | Age of Strife: This house was founded during the Age of Strife, and predates the Imperium by many millennia. Whether they fought against the Imperium and brokered an agreement, or worked with them the moment they were founded, this House boasts a rich and illustrious history. They may wield considerable influence within the Imperial war machine or bureaucracy. |
05-07 | Unification Wars: Since its inception, this House stood as a peer of the Imperium. Whether its founder was a Warlord or a dedicated servant of the Emperor from the beginning, this house played an integral role in laying the foundations of the Imperium of Man. |
08-10 | Great Crusade/Horus Heresy: Originating either on a newly conquered world or from the ranks of Imperial Army regiments embroiled in conflicts for or against the Emperor, this noble House emerged within the vast shadow of the Imperium. With a history possibly marked by participation in the pivotal battles of the Great Crusade and/or the horrors of the Horus Heresy, this family traces its roots to the times when the Emperor's radiance graced the heavens — or to the bleakest hours when traitorous legions plunged the Imperium into chaos. |
11-20 | Time of Rebirth: The progenitor of this House came into being during the period of rebirth, which may have coincided with the Scouring or followed the conclusion of The War of The Beast. |
21-30 | The Forging: The progenitor of this house was active during The Forging, a period that may have unfolded following the upheaval of The Beheading or during one of the crusades of this era. |
31-50 | Nova Terra Interregnum: This house's progenitor lived during the Nova Terra Interregnum, potentially aligning with either the Imperium or Nova Terra before reconciling with the Imperium's cause. |
51-70 | Age of Apostacy/Redemption: Founded during the tumultuous Age of Apostasy or The Age of Redemption, this House's origins may be intertwined with the rise and fall of Goge Vandire, possibly even contributing to his overthrow. |
71-80 | Age of Waning/Time of Ending: A relatively recent noble house, it has ascended the ranks of the Imperium, and its existence may span only a few centuries. Whether this family will maintain its grip on power remains uncertain. |
81-100 | Age of the Dark Imperium: This House is freshly established, boasting a membership that is still either filled with youthful idealism or marred by corruption. May not be taken with Decadent. |

5 | Ambitious: Filled with individuals driven by a relentless desire for more power, the House's ambitions may stem from various motivations, whether they be malevolent, genuinely altruistic, or purely power-hungry. |
6-7 | Unassuming: Not every noble House is composed of extraordinary or malevolent individuals. This House consists of mostly normal, albeit somewhat pampered, people. |
8 | Complex: Roll twice. Noble cannot be taken with Decadent or Cutthroat, and Insulated/Unassuming cannot be taken with Cutthroat or Ambitious. Reroll any incompatible temperaments or duplicates. |
Inheritance[edit]

1 | Absolute Primogeniture: Also known as vertical inheritance. The firstborn child is first in line, and the firstborn child of the firstborn child is second in line. |
2 | Absolute Horizontal Preference: The younger siblings of the House Head take precedence in inheritance over children. This practice continues through the line of eligible siblings until all have inherited, at which point the firstborn child becomes eligible for the title. |
3 | Ultimogeniture: The youngest child inherits the title. |
4 | Elective Inheritance: The entire family, the state, or some other entity elects the next holder of the title. Alternatively, the current holder of the title chooses who will succeed them. |
