KV129 Stormfury Platform
The KV129 Stormfury Platform is a Tau anti-aircraft emplacement first revealed in the Aeronautica Imperialis in 2020.
Overview[edit]
If the Skyfire’s a shotgun, the Stormfury’s a sniper rifle. Two of them, actually – really big ones due in part, to its twin-linked Railguns. Suffice to say, if the Skyfire is more for smaller flyers, the Stormfury are for the big bombers and carriers. It is one of the two primary anti-aircraft emplacements, with the other being the aforementioned lighter KV126 Skyfire Platform.
Crunch[edit]
They’re effective at long-range, and with a high Effective Altitude (4), no target is safe from your railgun array. At a mere 7 points each, they are actually somehow cheaper than the close-ranged Skyfire platform, which is great as they’ll help soften up your toughest targets or pick off stragglers to free up your Fighters to engage elsewhere. Their FPR is 1-2-2 and their Damage is 2+. Other special rules includes Ground-to-Air Fire and Extra Damage (6+) which is real nasty against bigger targets.
