KV126 Skyfire Platform
The KV126 Skyfire Platform is a Tau anti-aircraft emplacement first revealed in the Aeronautica Imperialis in 2020.
Overview[edit]
Operated by the Air Caste, Skyfire Platforms use aerial markerlight drones to ‘paint’ enemy aircraft, before engaging them with precise Burst Cannon fire. The array is also capable of saturating the air with devastating fire at mid-range as well as turn it into a decent anti-infantry structure as well. It is one of the two primary anti-aircraft emplacements, with the other being the heavier KV129 Stormfury Platform.
Crunch[edit]
Rules wise, the KV126 Skyfire Platform is an all-rounder. It has a FPR of 4-10-0 and a Damage of 5+ per shot, which is a shit load of firepower for not a lot of points given that it just cost 9 points per structure. Its special rules are Effective Altitude (2) and Ground-to-Air Fire. Overall, your opponent would think twice before sending his flying birds within mid-range of this platform.
