The Dawn Blade is Farsight's infamous Xenos weapon of suspicious origin.

Overview

He found it in a mysterious temple on the world of Arthas Moloch, using it to fight creatures that were almost certainly Chaos Daemons. It flickers with unknown energy and when he swings it, sharp enough to cut through rock, it cuts a swathe easily through most enemies and armoured vehicles. Unknown to its wielder its blade is made from chronophagic alloys which add a slain foe's remaining natural lifespan to that of its owners. This is the secret of Farsight's remarkable longevity, which has spanned to over three centuries.

What is it?

As you can imagine. This shit ain't Tau and is far older than the ground it was found embedded on it. Given that it assrapes Daemons, its absurd sharpness and its strange temporal qualities. The most likely answer as /tg/ had long concluded, was that the Dawn Blade was of Necron origin. It makes sense really, as the Necrons were the only ones with time-travel technology on a local scale, and are the only ones that developed counter-measures specifically to anally rape Warp critters back to hell. Given its absurd sharpness and its timey-whimey stuff, it was most likely a type of Phase Blade.
