Contemptor-Galatus Dreadnought
What happens when the Emprah's BFFs becomes severely crippled? They get interred in a golden dreadnought of course! Like all things Custodes, the Custodes Dreadnought is leaps and bounds more advanced than the vanilla variety. Even extremely specialized and powerful dreadnoughts such as the Mortis and Furioso are overshadowed by the sheer pain these golden rape trains can bring on the battlefield. As they are the elites of the elites, these wounded veterans are all interred in the Contemptor-Galatus pattern variety of dreadnoughts, albeit with even more specialist and advance modifications and equipment that sets it apart from other Contemptor Dreadnoughts from other Space Marine legions.
You'll notice that unlike the somewhat derpy-looking vanilla Contemptor, the Contemptor-Galatus looks like an actual suit of armor. Like a Terminator suit on steroids, even. You may find it useful for converting certain unsightly walkers if you feel inclined to do so.
With the release of the Custodes army, the Custodes Contemptor Dreadnoughts are finally given tabletop form. And my goodness is this thing decked out in the only way that could make a Custodes a Custodes; overdone and overdecorated equipment. The Contemptor-Galatus pattern Dreadnoughts are equipped with a gigantic EXS BAWKS HEUG Galatus Warblade with a twin-linked Infernus Flamer attached to said blade, so you can literally shoot fire out your giant-ass swords like you're in Dungeons & Dragons. For defense, the Custodes Dreadnought carries an equally EXS BAWKS HEUG Dreadnought-sized Praesidium Shield. While the already tough as nails armor of the Contemptor Dreadnought is quite noted on tabletop, giving the giant golden tin-can of doom a fuckhuge Stormshield is just compensating for something.
The exact GW kitchen latin High Gothic etymology for 'Galatus' is not certain. It is probably a reference to Galatia, an ancient region of nowadays Anatolia (central Turkey) where the Emperor was born.
It's also a possibility that GW spelt "Gladius" wrong, given the Dread's loadout.
More sensibly, if somewhat obscure, it may be in reference to 'Galatine', the Sword of Sir Gawain in the Arthurian Legends.
Nowadays in 9th edition, the Galatus is T/S7 with 9 wounds, 6 attacks, and it moves 8”. Like with most Custodes, it has the standard 2+ armor save. However, its kit is as follows. It has a giant fucking sword (S7 AP-3 D3, and an additional d3 attacks.) and an equally giant fucking shield (4+ invuln and -1 to hit in melee). Its job is to charge into something like a Daemon Primarch and smack it with its sword so hard Magnus’ skin will look pale in comparison.
Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought[edit]

Don't like the sword and shield ? It's fine, you can take a EXS BAWKS HEUG Dreadspear with an in-built Corvae Las-Pulser which can be wielded in either one or both hands instead. Problem Asterion?
The Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought is noted to be an upgraded/modified Contemptor-Galatus Dreadnought. Furthermore, other than the rapestick known as the Dreadspear, the Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought could also be armed with a choice of two wrist-mounted Storm bolters, Infernus incinerators or Adrathic destructors. Since the Custodes get better stuff than Space Marines it's most likely packing Specialist Ammo, Heliothermic Shells or Molecular Acid Boltshells.
Apparently the Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought has a very interesting aspect. If the Dreadnought charges an enemy, and the controlling player rolls a six on the roll to hit on any of its attacks that attack will then become an automatic Str D. Figurative rape train indeed.
