The Air Caste Communications Tower is a Tau anti-aircraft emplacement first revealed in the Aeronautica Imperialis in 2020.
Overview[edit]
The Air Caste Communications Tower is a tall-ish Tau military structure that is, as its name implies, largely used for communications between ground assets and air assets of the Tau Empire. They are comparatively unarmed yet vital inter-comms of the two domains, so they are often surrounded by a group of KV126 Skyfire Platform and KV129 Stormfury Platform fortifications for defence.
Nevertheless, the presence of a barricaded tower head does suggest that certain ground troops could climb up and provide additional firepower. Although how effective they are is up in the air.
